Removal and installation of lower shield assembly of multi-function switch

Caution
Be careful during removal to avoid scratching the surface material.

  1. Remove the upper shield assembly of multi-function switch. Refer to Removal and installation of upper shield assembly of multi-function switch 

  2. Remove the driver knee airbag module. Refer to Removal and installation of driver knee airbag module 

  3. Remove 2 fixing screws from the lower shield assembly of multi-function switch.

    Caution
    Before removal, turn the steering wheel to provide space to remove the fixing screw.

  4. Remove the lower shield assembly of multi-function switch.

    1. Remove 1 fixing bolt.

      • Tightening torque: 1.5 N•m

    2. Take out the lower shield assembly of multi-function switch.

Install

  1. Install it in the reverse order of removal.
