Removal and installation of right lower shield assembly of instrument panel

Remove

Caution
Be careful during removal to avoid scratching the surface material.

  1. Remove the right A-pillar lower shield assembly. Refer to Removal and installation of right A-pillar lower shield assembly 

  2. Remove the right shield assembly of instrument panel. Refer to Removal and installation of right shield assembly of instrument panel 

  3. Remove the right skin trim panel assembly of instrument panel. Refer to Removal and installation of right skin trim panel assembly of instrument panel 

  4. Remove the lower right sound insulation board assembly of instrument panel. Refer to Removal and installation of lower right sound insulation board assembly of instrument panel 

  5. Remove the lower right shield assembly of instrument panel.

    1. Remove 1 fixing screw.

    2. Remove 1 fixing bolt.

      • Tightening torque: 4 N•m

    3. Detach 1 wiring harness clip.

    4. Detach the hood release handle assembly from the lower right shield assembly of instrument panel.

    5. Carefully pry out the lower right shield assembly of instrument panel with a plastic pry plate.

Install

Caution
Before installation, check for any missing or damaged clips. If any, install a new clip.

  1. Install it in the reverse order of removal.
