Removal and installation of gearshift control mechanism cover assembly

Caution
Be careful during removal to avoid scratching the surface material.

  1. Power off the low-voltage electrical system. Refer to Power-off and power-on of low-voltage electrical system 

  2. Open the cover of auxiliary instrument panel armrest box assembly.

  3. Remove the rubber pad for phone slot on auxiliary instrument panel. Refer to Removal and installation of rubber pad for phone slot on auxiliary instrument panel 

  4. Carefully pry out the gearshift control mechanism cover assembly with a plastic pry plate.

    Caution
    Do not apply excessive force during removal to prevent damage to connectors.

  5. Remove the gearshift control mechanism cover assembly.

    1. Disconnect 1 connector from the wireless phone charging module.

    2. Disconnect 2 connectors of the ambient light, and take out the gearshift control mechanism cover assembly.

  6. To replace the gearshift control mechanism cover assembly, remove the following accessories from it:

Caution
Before installation, check for any missing or damaged clips. If any, install a new clip.

  1. Install it in the reverse order of removal.
