Removal and installation of front wiper drive system assembly

Caution

  • Before removing the wiper arm assembly, enter the Infotainment system → Vehicle health → Maintenance setting interface to activate the wiper maintenance function, then wipers will run to a high position and stop.

  • After installation, deactivate the wiper maintenance function, and wipers will return to the reset position.

  1. Power off the low-voltage electrical system. Refer to Power-off and power-on of low-voltage electrical system 

  2. Remove the wiper arm trim screw cap. Refer to Removal and installation of wiper arm trim screw cap 

  3. Remove 2 fixing nuts and take out the left and right wiper arm and blade assemblies in turn.

    • Tightening torque: 24 N•m

    Caution

    • The wiper arm assembly may be connected tightly with the front wiper drive system assembly, so it is necessary to carefully shake the wiper arm assembly upward by hand before removal.

    • During removal, be careful not to damage the front windshield due to the rebound of the wiper arm assembly.

  4. Remove the vent cover assembly. Refer to Removal and installation of ventilation cover assembly 

  5. Remove the front wiper drive system assembly.

    1. Disconnect 1 connector.

    2. Remove 3 fixing bolts and take out the front wiper drive system assembly.

      • Tightening torque: 10 N•m

Install

Caution

  • When installing the front wiper arm assembly, adjust its installation position and align the wiper blade with the locating dot under the front windshield.

  • Turn on the wiper switch after installation, and the wiper system shall work normally.

  1. Install it in the reverse order of removal.
